The Emergency Response Data Sheet (ERDS) is patterned after the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for chemicals. The purpose of the ERDS is to identify the hazards associated with the process that could impact emergency responders during an incident and to provide guidance on how to protect against those hazards. The protocol, forms and example shown are designed for a hazardous waste remediation site operated by a contractor. This methodology, however, is applicable to, and recommended for all chemical processes.
