The State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is considering amending their Toxic Catastrophe Prevention Act program rules at N.J.A.C. 7:31 to include reactive chemicals as chemicals that are covered by this Act. In addition, they are considering amending the requirements of that act to ensure that Recognized And Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices are used in the design, operation, maintenance and management of facilities that use reactive chemicals, to minimize the potential for a reactive chemicals incident. Mark V, Inc. has been working proactively with the State of New Jersey to help them accomplish their goals. |
